#5 - Alzarri Joseph

A former bowler for Gujarat Titans has been released and bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a price of ₹11,50,00,000. He plays for the West Indies in international cricket and is a right-arm fast bowler. Typically, Joseph bats at the lower end of the team at number 9. In recent T20s against Australia, he has gotten 0/38, 1/31, and 2/46.

#4 - Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel was a former bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore and was bought by Punjab Kings for ₹11,75,00,000. He is an Indian right-arm seamer who plays for India internationally and Haryana domestically. Patel has the most wickets in an IPL season and was a former purple cap, so he seems to be a good pick.

#3 - Daryl Mitchell

Daryl Mitchell went unsold in the 2023 IPL Auction but played twice for Rajasthan Royals in 2022. He was bought by Chennai Super Kings for ₹14,00,00,000. He is a batting all-rounder and plays for New Zealand internationally. In his recent T20s against Pakistan, he got 72, 8, and 17 runs. His performances in the World Cup were very consistent and solid, so CSK hopes to get some good value from him.

#2 - Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins opted out of the 2023 IPL but played for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹20,50,00,000. He plays for Australia internationally as a bowling all-rounder. In his recent T20s against New Zealand, he went 1/43 and 1/19 (and 28 runs). Pat Cummins could be the potential captain of the Sunrisers franchise as they have an extremely strong team yet their captaincy under Markram has been lackluster.

#1 - Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc returns to the IPL after nearly a decade, after not playing a game since 2015. He was a former Royal Challengers Bangalore player who was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹24,75,00,000. Starc plays for Australia internationally and in recent T20s against New Zealand he went 1/39 and 0/15. KKR's fast bowling in 2023 was poor and they likely hope to improve it with Starc.
